Job Highlights:

  • Oversees daily operations of the hospital gift shop which is staffed by volunteers
  • Manages volunteer scheduling to ensure coverage during business hours (9:00am4:00pm MondayFriday; occasional weekends)
  • Provides operational support to volunteers and maintains strong customer service standards
  • Handles financial and administrative duties including reporting budgeting support and vendor coordination
  • Uses Excel and Microsoft Office regularly; experience with SAP VIM and Volgistics preferred
  • Attends buying shows and selects merchandise for staff patients visitors and physicians

Job Summary:

Coordinator operation of gift shop including inventory control staff scheduling and performance and monitoring of cash control systems.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads shift operations.
  • Trains and provides direction to staff.
  • Maintains and controls inventory and ensures vendor responsiveness to damaged goods etc.
  • May monitor cash register reconciliation and deposits.
  • Assist customers in the gift shop and at the register.
  • Ensures gift shop remains clean tidy and stocked. Coordinates the display of merchandise.
  • Schedules staff appropriately and monitors attendance/tardiness.
  • Responsible for processing payroll deductions and getting to payroll department in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Two years experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting standing walking reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms malfunctioning machinery etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending stooping kneeling squatting twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
