Role Summary

Apollo Global Management is seeking a hands-on Martech Lead to own backend architecture and performance across our enterprise Marketing ecosystem including AEM platform.

This role combines deep technical execution with team leadership. The individual will define backend standards govern repository structure and security lead performance optimization initiatives and mentor developers while remaining actively involved in solution design and complex implementation.

This is not a coordination-only role it requires strong architectural depth and hands-on expertise.

Candidates withgood AEM Experience more than 5 years of exp out of whichat least 6-7 years of Financial Services Experience (Banking/ Wealth Management)and at least a few years of Manager Role can be interviewed.

Required Experience

• 10 to 12 years of enterprise software development.
• 6-8 years of hands-on AEM backend experience.
• Should have at least 1 to 2 years of exp managing a team with excellent communication skills
• Strong expertise in:
  • Java
  • Sling Models lifecycle and optimization
  • OSGi services
  • JCR / Oak internals
  • Repo Init configuration
  • ACL and group-based security models
  • Universal Editor
• Proven experience leading backend architecture decisions
• Hands-On experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Marketo & Pardot as Good to have.
• Review and approve technical designs before implementation.
• Lead refactoring initiatives to improve maintainability and performance.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale public or intranet platforms
• Strong debugging and production incident management experience

AI Adoption

• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. Cursor AI code assistants JetBrains Claude Code) to improve developer productivity code quality and architectural consistency.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging Adobe initiatives including AI-powered capabilities and agent-based workflows within AEM and Adobe Experience Cloud.
• Stay current with Adobes roadmap around generative AI intelligent content automation and agent-driven orchestration.
• Enable the team through training and knowledge-sharing sessions on AI-driven development practices.

Technical Leadership & Team Development

• Lead a team of AEM backend developers.
• Conduct code reviews with focus on:
  • Security
  • Performance
  • Scalability
  • Clean architecture
• Mentor engineers on Sling Models JCR best practices and secure development.
• Provide technical escalation support for complex issues.
• Participate in hiring and onboarding of AEM engineers and other firm initiatives.
