Business Analyst Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Job Overview

As a member of IQVIAs Identity and Access Management (IAM) team the Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering analyzing and managing requirements that support the delivery of IQVIAs enterprise information security solutions and capabilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring IAM solutions meet business security and regulatory requirements across a global enterprise.

IQVIAs information security landscape includes a combination of custombuilt solutions SaaS and cloud services and commercial offtheshelf (COTS) products. The Business Analyst will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including application teams information security partners engineering teams and external vendors to translate business needs into clear actionable requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit analyze and documentfunctional and nonfunctional requirementsfor IAM platforms and services from intake through delivery and signoff
  • Lead requirements discovery sessions stakeholder reviews and walkthroughs to validate scope assumptions and acceptance criteria
  • Research and documentsecurity compliance and regulatory requirements ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal policies
  • Author detaileduser stories use cases and process flows including success paths exception handling and failure scenarios
  • Manage requirements throughout the lifecycle including traceability prioritization change control and approval
  • Partner closely with engineering QA and operations teams throughout the SDLC to support design build testing and release activities
  • Support application onboarding and integration efforts for IAM services such as authentication authorization and provisioning
  • Maintain clear documentation in tools such as Confluence and Jira ensuring requirements and decisions are wellrecorded and auditready
  • Act as a trusted IAM advisor to business and technical stakeholders across the enterprise

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills

  • Strong analytical problemsolving and criticalthinking skills with the ability to clearly communicate security and technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Proven experience researching authoring and managingcomplex requirementsendtoend
  • Ability to create detailed documentation diagrams and process flows that clearly articulate business and technical needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a serviceoriented mindset

IAM & Security Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of IAM concepts including:
    • Single SignOn (SSO)
    • MultiFactor Authentication (MFA)
    • Identity federation
    • User provisioning and lifecycle management
    • Application onboarding
    • Privileged Access Management (PAM)
    • Coarsegrained authorization models
  • Ability to research and apply information and data security requirements aligned to standards such asOWASP SOX NIST GDPR and GxP(deep prior expertise not required but ability to interpret and apply standards is essential)

Technical & Tooling Experience

  • Experience withsystem or software development lifecycles (SDLC) including requirements design testing and release
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and cloud security concepts
  • Experience with tools such asExcel PowerPoint Confluence andJira(TestRail experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience with IAM platforms such asAzure Active Directory (Entra ID) Azure AD B2C WSO2 Identity Server and SailPoint IdentityIQis highly desirable
