Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Summary

The Senior Cloud Solution Architect is a key contributor responsible for designing and guiding secure scalable and reliable cloud solutions that enableMcKessonbusiness units to achieve their strategicobjectives. This role partners closely with technical and business stakeholders to drive cloud adoption while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture security and compliance standards.

Collaborate with business units to understand goals challenges and technical requirements.

Design cloud solutionsleveragingMicrosoft Azure and whereappropriate AWS or GCP ensuring scalability security reliability and performance.

Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture standards security frameworks and compliance requirements.

Guide business units through cloud onboarding and migration initiatives acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Conduct architecture assessments and optimization reviews for existing and proposed cloud implementations.

Partner with enterprise architecture cloud platform operations and governance teams to integrate solutions.

Develop andmaintaindetailed solution architecture documentation.

Support training and enablement activities to strengthen cloud capabilities across teams.

Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovations and improvements.

What You Bring

Deep experience designing and delivering cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions in regulated environments.

Strongexpertisein Microsoft Azure; experiencewith AWS or GCP is a plus.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.

Solid understanding of enterprise security governance and compliance frameworks.

Strong communicationand influencing skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent are desirable.

MinimumRequirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferable Skills & Experience

Experience supporting large-scale cloud migration programs.

Exposure to healthcare or highly regulated industries.

Experience working within enterprise cloud governance or shared services teams.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
