Whatyoullbe doing
As the Director CapitalMarkets Early Talent you will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence in the design delivery and continuous improvement of CIBCs Capital Markets Early Talent recruitmentengagementand retentioninitiatives. This role is pivotal in positioning CIBC as anemployer ofchoice driving innovative attractionand retentionstrategies and ensuring best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experiences.
You will partner with senior stakeholders and business leaders to develop and execute comprehensive talent attraction strategiesbuild engagement programsoversee end-to-end recruitment operations and manage a high-performing team ofearlytalent focus will include Capital Markets-specific recruitmentwith an emphasis onconnecting talent with opportunity and building a sustainable pipeline of top early talent to meet business needs.
You will proactivelymonitormarkettrendsandimplement emerging best practices to ensure CIBCsCapital Marketscampusrecruitment programsremaincompetitive and effective. You will also lead the planning and execution of studentengagementprograms includingmentorshiporientations scholarship and sponsorship initiatives and external partnerships.

Howyoullsucceed
- Strategic Leadership & Management:Lead the development and execution of CapitalMarketsearly talent recruitment strategies. Act as a subject matter expert providing directionidentifyingoperationalimprovements and building effective business support models.
- Talent Attraction & Sourcing:Identify and implement sourcing channelsandidentifystrategic partnershipsto build a strong pipeline of topearlytalent. Oversee end-to-end recruitment cycles including on-campus sessions referral management calibrations and offers.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management:Develop strong relationships with executive sponsors campuscommitteechairs HRpartners and business leaders. Partner with key target schools and external organizations to enhance CIBCs brand and deliver high-caliber student experiences.
- Leadership:Inspire and manage a team to achieve businessobjectivesin alignment with CIBCs values and strategic priorities. Foster a positive and high-performing work environment by setting clear expectations coaching for success supporting professional growth and regularly reviewing performance. Provide directionestablishpriorities and ensure accountability for results.
- Program Management & Continuous Improvement:OverseeCapitalMarketsstudent programs including scholarshipssponsorships andengagement programs andonboarding activities. Drive continuous improvement proactivelymonitorexternal environments and implement new best practices.
- Reporting Analysis & Business Acumen:Develop and report on relevant metrics trends and performance analytics. Provide insights and recommendations to improve hiring quality and program outcomes.
- Creative Problem Solving:Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity understand business context quickly and connect the at a strategic level. Continuous improvement is part of your DNA.
