Working as part of a cross-functional team you are an internally recognized expert in a critical technical area for the RDQ process development function. You identify define and solve complex technical and business problems by applying your broad technical and in-depth knowledge. You oversee the delivery of assigned programs support new programs/platforms linked to business objectives and use your expertise in your technical area when interacting with senior management and global cross-functional teams to help deliver on current and future demands of the business.
How you will contribute
You will support technically focused projects and use your technical expertise to guide direct and influence activities lead by others and to ensure the right solutions are developed future breakthrough opportunities are identified and executable programs are implemented with technical this role you will be accountable for the technical outcomes of process developments activities (e.g. process design and specifications process scale up commissioning etc.) and for quantifying the technical risks your projects and those lead by others offering recommendations and conclusions and influencing senior stakeholders when making business decisions. As a leader in your technical field you will develop and leverage connections internally and with the external technical partners. As a leader of people you will create a culture that fosters intellectual properties to drive competitive advantage; manage an internal team of process developers and work with cross-functional partners to establish resource and budget needs to deliver the requirements in your business area of responsibility; provide strategic leadership in your process technology area and/or process development program and; mentor and coach others to grow technical talent.

We are seeking an exceptionalTechnical Lead a pivotal role within our plants leadership team. This position demands a dynamic professional with a robust technical background and proven leadership capabilities ready to drive innovation new technology implementation and operational excellence.
As a key member of our leadership team (PLT) you will be instrumental in bridging complex technical insights with strategic business objectives. Your ability to influence communicate gaps and champion best practices will be critical in delivering measurable results that impact waste reduction efficiency gains and sustained growth across our operations.
As the Technical Lead you will:
Be trusted and viewed as a technical subject matter (SME)
Serve as an internally recognized expert in process development and engineering identifying defining and solving complex business problems through a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing technology.
Conduct rigorous analysis of product formulation packaging and specifications for raw to ensure that all new formulas and initiatives introduced arefully runnableon the production lines to guarantee general efficiency (GE%) and waste % targets of the year based on annual contract (AC).
Leverage deep knowledge of oven functionality utilizing advanced thermal devices (e.g. Mole Scorpion) and statistical analysis to establish and maintain substantial centerlines.
Actively participate in Technical Readiness Level (TRL) reviews and discussions shaping the technical direction of the business.
Lead the execution and oversight of Alternative Line Qualifications (ALQ) provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for trials.
Part of Commissioning Qualification and Verification (CQV) methodology for bottom-up and top-down initiatives ensuring meticulous documentation developed for centerlines critical parameters to the process (CTPs) and critical parameters to quality (CTQs).
Lead Strategic Projects & Process Optimization:
Drive process development and optimization to deliver tangible consumer benefits through new product presentations quality inspired projects and significant cost savings.
Develop bottom-up initiatives technical approaches detailed plans deliverables and timelines to ensure resolutions are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate globally and regionally aligning with the Engineering Research and Development (R&D) Business Development (BD) and Quality agendas to deploy robust processes across Mondelēz factories emphasizing a superior consumer experience.
Cultivate Leadership & Talent Development:
Mentor junior talents as process engineers and quality engineers fostering an environment that encourages process innovation and renovation.
Manage and guide an intern for a 12-week program in summertime developing future technical leaders.
Manage product technician team member responsible of conducting qualitative and quantitative bar tests and defects measurements.
Influence the technical direction of the business through exceptional organizational awareness and clear compelling communication.
Roll out and embed manufacturing standards processes specifically focusing on capability building advanced training for core and supportive teams to eradicate quality losses (e.g. overpack consumer complaints).
Drive the continuous evolution of foundational skills and capabilities ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological advancements.
Act as a senior technical resource in quality management (QM) and innovation initiative management (IIM) pillars leading specific work process and supporting integrated design brief (IDB) and critical parameters to the process developed.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering or Food Science.
Certifications:Green Belt certification. Optional.
Experience:A minimum of 8 years of progressive industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Acumen:Demonstrated strong process background with an advanced understanding of statistical modeling and simulation tools.
Project Management:Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously prioritize effectively and oversee budgets risks and timelines with an action-oriented approach.
Global Mindset:Experience or strong aptitude for thinking and working effectively in a global context.

Working Environment & Expectations:
On-Site Presence:This role demands a significant on-site presence with at least 65% of your activities conducted on the plant floor within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Impact:Your contributions will directly impact product quality process performance and cost efficiency. You will be recognized and trusted as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):Adherence to standard PPE requirements including steel-toe slip-resistant shoes safety glasses and hearing protection.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs):Strict compliance with GMPs such as hair nets beard guards no jewelry no fake nails or nail polish and no lash extensions.
Travel:Travel may be required as needed by the business.
Salary and Benefits:
The expected base salary range for this position is $102600 to $128250 CAD depending on several factors such as experience skills education and addition to base salary this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with a target of 14% with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
