Paralegal Family Law

Goosmann Law Firm is seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our team! This position is based out of our Omaha office. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced attorneys on a wide range of legal matters with a strong focus on Family Law Divorce and Custody cases.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized and experienced in preparing legal documents managing case files and communicating effectively with clients and legal professionals. This position offers a collaborative and fast-paced work environment with regular in-office hours:MondayThursday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM & Friday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft review and proofread legal documents including pleadings motions and correspondence
• Manage case files deadlines and maintain attorney calendar
• Organize pleadings discovery materials and exhibits
• File documents with state courts in Iowa and Nebraska
• Prepare trial materials including evidence binders briefs and appendices
• Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys clients and court personnel
• Use Microsoft Office and legal practice management software proficiently
• Track and manage time effectively across multiple cases and deadlines
• Accurately document billable time for all tasks performed

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies required
• 23 years of paralegal experience preferably in Family Law or related practice areas
• Valid drivers license required
• Notary Public designation preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
