AI Content Assistant

smartdept. is searching for a Part Time AI Content Assistant for a marketing consultancy client. This is a part time fully remote 6 month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension.

This role supports a marketing consultancy serving vacation rental management companies (VRMs) across the United States. The consultancy helps property management companies grow direct bookings acquire new properties and build marketing systems that reduce dependence on OTAs like Airbnb and VRBO. The AI Content Assistant will act as an AI orchestrator using Claude to turn the consultants raw ideas voice notes and transcripts into polished on brand content across LinkedIn blog YouTube and newsletter channels.

What Youll Do:

• Transcribe voice memos and run them through Claude to extract key insights and content angles
• Maintain the Brand Vault a Claude project containing positions on VR industry topics tone and unique takes
• Scout VR industry news sources like Skift and VRM Intel and flag stories worth responding to
• Produce 4 LinkedIn posts per month using Claude to generate hooks body and tags followed by a human anti bot audit
• Produce 2 blog posts per month by repurposing existing transcripts or voice notes
• Process 1 YouTube video per month generating SEO titles timestamps descriptions and LinkedIn teaser scripts
• Produce 1 monthly newsletter that rounds up LinkedIn posts and blog content
• Strip AI isms and maintain tone consistency (direct results obsessed slightly contrarian)
• Use Claude to write prompts for Midjourney or Canva AI to generate custom visuals (no generic stock photos)
• Generate thoughtful LinkedIn comment replies for engaging with VRM industry leaders
• Review monthly LinkedIn and newsletter analytics in Claude to identify top performing topics
• Keep lead magnets (VR Marketing Checklist Marketing Guide) refreshed and current

What Youll Need:

• Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • experience in content marketing or AI operations required
• Hands on experience with Claude including prompt engineering
• LinkedIn content experience with a clear understanding of what makes a post stop the scroll
• Canva and/or Midjourney for visual content creation
• Beehiiv Substack or similar email newsletter platform experience
• YouTube workflow basics including titles timestamps and descriptions
• Strong editorial instincts and the ability to detect AI generated copy
• Self directed and comfortable with deliverable based work

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with the short term rental or vacation rental industry
• Experience supporting a personal brand or thought leader
• Basic SEO knowledge for content titles and descriptions
