As part of theSoftware Defined Vehicle Embedded Platformsorganization theStaff Continuous Integration Architectwill lead the design and implementation of CI/CD strategies that power our Virtual TestChambers (CoSimulationenvironments) for system and vehiclelevel embedded software and calibration development.

This roleiswithin theVirtualization andSoftware-in-the-Loop(SIL) Integrationgroup whichis responsible forcreating virtual in-the-loop environments to enable development verification and validation of embedded controllersproduction softwareand calibrationsacross thevehicle/mechatronicsdomains.

You willown howvECUs FMUs and CoSim packages are built tested and deployedacross Windows LinuxSOLEand HPC environments. You will architect scalable CI/CD pipelines standardize build and execution flows and enable engineering teams to deliverhigh-qualitysoftware faster and more reliably.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):

Build & Toolchain CI Architecture

  • Design and implementCI/CD build pipelines(e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins) that support CloudWindows Linux and HPC environments at scale.

  • Define andmaintainstandard build flows for L3/L4 virtual ECUsand FMUs (SIL tool buildsboard-levelHWIOsimulationdrivers FMU generation).

  • Createreusable CI templates and composite actionsthat standardize how teams build test and package controllers and CoSim assets across multiple GitHub and/or internal repositories.

  • Establish robustbuild validation workflows including unit integration and regression checks (e.g.Simulation Behavior Tests) that can run regardless of underlying test framework.

  • Enable team tobuild metrics dashboards and alerts to ensurevisibility intobuildhealth performance and quality trends.

Simulation Pipeline & Execution Orchestration

  • Design andmaintainthe execution pipelinefor L3/L4 CoSim packages including orchestration of internal simulation and test execution frameworks (e.g. virtual environment launchers test schedulers and results collectors) across on-prem and cloud infrastructure.

  • Ensure pipelines canefficiently run multiple configurations and variants per packagewithout manual rework.

  • Implementtestcasedriven configurationselectionso thatsystem-leveltest definitions drive which packages variants and configurations are executed.

  • Enableteam todefine and implementprerun/learncycleflows(e.g. RID/NVM learningmulti-layered testgating/promotion strategies) to ensure simulations start from correct conditions.

  • Collaborate with Quality & Metrics partners to emitrich metadata for traceability(e.g. package variant build ID test plan environment and results).

  • Improve theperformance reliability and debuggabilityof the execution stack (queueing retriesfailurecategorization log standardization).

  • Automatedeployments of CoSim packages and virtual test assetsto endcustomers and shared environments (onpremand/or cloud).

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as thetechnical authority for CI/CD andexecutionorchestrationwithin Virtualization and SIL Integration. This includes monitoring execution triaging anddebuggingsystemic issues

  • Partner closely withSimulation Integration Engineers (SIEs) domaincontrolsteams and calibration engineers to align build and execution pipelines with evolving feature and test requirements.

  • Work witharchitecture and infrastructure teamsto support Linux/HPC/SDV-OS execution needs and future scalability.

  • Mentor and coach other engineers onCI/CD best practices automation patterns and tooling enabling a culture of continuous improvement andselfservice.

  • StrongC/C buildexpertise including compilers linkers optimization levels and debug symbol management.

  • Handsonexperience withGCC/Clangand common build systems (e.g.makeCMake or equivalent).

  • ProficiencyinPythonand at least oneadditionalscripting language (PowerShell Bash etc.) for automation and tooling.

  • Demonstrated experiencebuilding andmaintainingCI/CD pipelines(e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins) for large codebases and/ormultirepoenvironments.

  • ExperiencewithcustomvNETrunner image.

  • Experience withtest automation frameworks job schedulers or orchestration systems used to run large suites of tests across distributed resources.

  • Working knowledge ofSIL/HIL execution characteristics and constraints including performance determinism andrealtimeconsiderations.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills witha track recordofpartnering across teams(e.g. integration controls testing infrastructure).

What Can Give YouACompetitive Edge(PreferredQualifications):

  • 15yearsof software development and integration experience including leadership of CI/CD transformations orplatformlevelinitiatives.

  • Experience designing and deliveringvirtualization or software-in-the-loop(SIL) integrationsolutions for automotive or similarly complex embedded domains.

  • Handsonexperience with tools and concepts such as:

  • Execution Management/Cloud OrchestrationIntegrationAutomationRobotTest FrameworkModel-Based SystemsEngineering(or equivalent orchestration/test systems)

  • Virtual ECUs (vECUs) FMUs SSP and associated modeling and packaging standards

  • Git GitHub/Gerrit and code review workflows

  • Regression testing automated test generation and integration of model-based tests (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink) into CI pipelines

  • Background inembedded controls softwarefor one or more of the following: vehicle body controls propulsion thermal management battery managementchassisand brake controls.

  • Experience withcloudhosted CI/CD and execution environments containerization and/orinfrastructure-as-codeapproaches for scaling test capacity.

  • Demonstrated ability tolead cross-functional initiatives influence technical direction without direct authority and mentor senior engineers.
