What Drives Success
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing Manager for Electrical Components to join our dynamic team in Controls Strategic Sourcing. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of the most dynamic and fastest growing areas of the HVACR industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of high-quality electrical components at competitive prices. This role requires a strong understanding of the electrical components market excellent negotiation and organizational skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with contract manufacturers electronic manufacturers and distributors and internal engineering teams.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electrical components in the Controls Team to support production and operational needs at various EMS partners.
- Identify evaluate and select suppliers based on quality cost delivery technology and service.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards delivery schedules sourcing processes and strategic sourcing initiates.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align sourcing strategies with demand and technology roadmaps.
- Engage in new supplier evaluations as well as manage existing supplier relationships to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop preferred supplier list and interface with Engineering to implement the PSL in new and existing product designs.
- Analyze market trends and stay updated on industry developments to identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities market analysis and performance metrics to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Industrial Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sourcing or procurement with electrical components.
- Strong understanding of the electronic distributor market and supply chain. Strong understanding of electrical components materials and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiations presentation analytical planning written and verbal skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and market research.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with PLM software
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead a cross functional commodity team and work across the organization at all levels.
What We Offer
Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $116000 - $152250 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills education experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Companys applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
