Job Summary The IT Infrastructure Manager provides statewide leadership in assessing and improving information technology infrastructure across public school districts and open-enrollment public charter schools that are participating in the EIR High-Impact Tutoring Research Program. This role evaluates network capacity reliability cybersecurity and scalability and supports districts in effectively navigating the federal E-Rate program within Arkansass centralized broadband and APSCN model.
The position collaborates with state fiscal technology and district stakeholders to ensure infrastructure decisions are technically sound fiscally responsible and aligned with instructional needs.
This is a grant-funded position: July 1 2026-December 31 2028.
Key Responsibilities Lead standardized assessments of district IT infrastructure including networks broadband connectivity servers cloud services and end-user environments. Identify infrastructure gaps risks and capacity issues that impact instruction operations and equity. Provide technical guidance to districts on E-Rate-eligible services and infrastructure planning. Support districts in understanding the Arkansas E-Rate structure including state-managed APSCN broadband discounts and district-submitted E-Rate requests. Review infrastructure plans to ensure alignment with E-Rate eligibility technical standards and long-term sustainability. Collaborate across stakeholders to align technical assessments with fiscal and federal program requirements. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to district leadership and state stakeholders. Support statewide technology planning modernization efforts and cybersecurity readiness.
Required Qualifications Certified Arkansas Educator 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure networking or systems management Experience supporting or evaluating K-12 public education technology environments Working knowledge of the federal E-Rate program Strong analytical documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Experience in a state education agency or regional support role Familiarity with centralized broadband or APSCN-type networks
