A bit about the role:
As part of our National Lottery Community Fund programme were looking for a dedicated Childrens Services Manager to join our this role youll lead the delivery and ongoing development of specialist support for young people affected by Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE).
Youll be responsible for coordinating and guiding practitioners to ensure consistently highquality traumainformed practice. A key part of the role involves strengthening partnerships across agencies influencing effective multiagency responses and driving continuous improvement in how services identify and respond to exploitation.
The Childrens Services Manager will also contribute directly to frontline work with young people and families when needed providing oversight expertise and reflective support. Youll lead on gathering evidence insights and learning from the service helping to shape practice development inform strategic decisions and contribute to wider policy and systems change.
About the Service.
Action for Children has recently been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver our Criminally Exploited Children Support Service across Scotland England and Wales. The service offers Targeted support to 11-18year olds who may be at risk of or coerced into involvement with serious offending and criminal activity.
We work closely with Local Authorities West Yorkshire Police and Education partners to intervene early and reduce the risk and impact of criminal exploitation. As part of a multiagency strategy with Leeds City Council our service provides intensive onetoone support group work and engaging diversionary activities that help young people build confidence develop new skills and reconnect with education training or employment.
At the heart of our approach is a belief in every young persons potential and a commitment to helping them feel safe valued and empowered to make positive choices.
What you do couldmake a difference
Some key responsibilities of the Childrens Services Manager are to;
Coordinate and oversee the daytoday delivery of the CCE service ensuring highquality support.
Support practitioners to deliver workshops onetoone sessions and wider engagement with young people and families.
Provide direct input on complex or highrisk cases ensuring young peoples voices are central to decisionmaking.
Monitor record and analyse data to meet reporting requirements inform partners and drive practice improvement.
Build strong multiagency partnerships representing the service in meetings and promoting safeguarding best practice.
Manage records scheduling and communication to ensure smooth and effective service operations.
Represent the organisation at a strategic level contributing to service development and influencing positive systems change.
Deliver clear uptodate presentations and information to strategic and partnership audiences.

Currently holds or is willing to work towards a relevant qualification with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
