Traveling Demolition Laborer

Clean Harborsis seeking aTraveling Demolition Laborerfor our SoilRemediation group.

Schedule: Standard rotation of 6 weeks on will be compensated with some time off following usually 1 week off paid. Significant OT available while at projects. 60 hours a week.

Preferred location: All locations will be considered on a case by case basis

Pay:$24 Determined on Experience

• Adheres to and ensures constant compliance with Health & Safety Compliance and regulations;
• Responsible for the safe and compliant execution of all jobs that they work on ensuring customer satisfaction;
• Assists the on-scene foreman/supervisor in managing large projects;
• General remediation labor activities and training on heavy equipment;
• Performs emergency response activities including but not limited to chemical and water spills etiological and biological contamination equipment decontamination etc.;
• Responsible for vehicle inspections equipment inspections and Health & Safety inspections. Ensures proper use of equipment and immediately notifies supervisor of any mechanical failures or problems with equipment;
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and willbe required by the needs of Clean Harbors business including but not limited to running supplies emergency response clean ups etc.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required;
• Valid Drivers License and acceptable MVR;
• Previous heavy equipment experience is a plus;
• Strong mechanical ability preferred;
• Understands the manpower and equipment required to complete assignments;
• Knowledge of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance helpful;
• Knowledge of RCRA requirements/regulations helpful training provided;
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation DOT regulations Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) waste codes manifesting and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) helpful training provided;
• All other duties as required by Management.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires pulling/pushing carrying grasping reaching crawling stooping and crouching in confined spaces; Requires walking climbing speaking listening color determination and clarity of vision at 2 feet or more (with or without lenses); Requires sitting for extended the ability to properly wear and use personal respirator equipment and other forms of personal protective equipment (PPE) including all levels including full encapsulation PPE suits which can elevate body temperature substantially during strenuous exertion;
• Available for 24/day oncall basis;
• Requires speaking writing and listening in English;
• Position involves strenuous physical standing lifting up to 50lbs.
