Front-End Engineer, Amazon Robotics

We are looking for a Front-End Engineer II to design build and optimize scalable high-performance web applications. You will collaborate with product design and backend teams to deliver intuitive user experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies a customer-obsessed mindset and a passion for clean maintainable code.

Key job responsibilities
Design develop and maintain responsive high-performance front-end applications using modern frameworks (React TypeScript etc.)
Partner with UX designers product managers and backend engineers to translate requirements into polished user interfaces
Write clean well-tested and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge across the team
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks accessibility issues and cross-browser compatibility problems
Contribute to architectural decisions and help define front-end best practices and standards
Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth
Continuously improve development processes tooling and CI/CD pipelines

About the team
This role is for an org that designs develops and operates software to monitor manage and maintain Amazons robotic warehouse equipment. It owns three core areas: warehouse floor management (ASM maps layout workflows) operations visualization & troubleshooting (near real-time monitoring tools maintenance/andon management) and maintenance & system management (work requests firmware updates algorithm analysis tools). The long-term vision focuses on foundational autonomous infrastructure AI-powered maintenance and monitoring and building scalable APIs and libraries for broader Amazon fulfillment teams

- 4 years of non-internship professional front end web or mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS experience
- 3 years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

- 3 years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML CSS JS TypeScript and Node
- Experience with front-end testing frameworks (Jest Cypress React Testing Library)
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
