This position is responsible for providing nutrition management services in an outpatient and inpatient setting. The position will work as part of a care team at UNLV Health working with faculty residents and students.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Dietetics or related field required
Completion of dietetic internship and trainee program or equivalent required
Conducts assessments plans and implements diet recommendations to children with special health care needs
Selects the appropriate feeding modality for the patient and accurately calculates nutritional needs. Changes to the nutrition plan of care are made according to findings in a timely fashion
Provides Nutrition consultation in the assigned interdisciplinary specialty clinics
Assumes a proactive role with patient/family education and patient/family satisfaction in the practice setting
Assumes personal accountability to enhance the patient experience by using high quality patient satisfaction-directed interactions/tools/activities in the execution of duties
Always interacts with patients and families in a compassionate and respectful manner at all times
Documents nutrition care plans and recommendations and ensures timely availability of information for inclusion in the interdisciplinary care plan
Participates in training of staff students and residents; and as requested by Department Manager mentors and provides education on areas of expertise
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May include standing sitting and/or walking for extended periods
May include performing repetitive tasks
May include working with challenging patients and clients
May include lifting up to 25 pounds
