Job Description
About the Role
Acciona is seeking a Senior Project Engineer Towers to lead and coordinate engineering and delivery activities associated with transmission tower steelwork. Reporting to the Project Manager Towers this role is critical to ensuring the safe efficient and compliant fabrication delivery and erection of steel towers across multiple work fronts on a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daytoday engineering and delivery activities for transmission tower steel construction
- Coordinate fabrication logistics delivery and erection of tower steelwork
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs specifications and Builder PSDR requirements
- Develop and support construction methodologies sequencing and lift plans
- Manage interfaces between steelworks foundations access logistics and erection crews
- Oversee inspections quality assurance defect management and nonconformance resolution
- Monitor progress manage risks and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Structural or Construction Engineering (or related discipline)
- Significant experience as a Project or Senior Project Engineer on steel or heavy construction projects
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication erection methodologies and sequencing
- Proven experience managing subcontractors cranes and complex construction interfaces
- Excellent planning coordination problemsolving and stakeholder communication skills.
Location and conditions
This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
