Job Summary
Our client is looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer with FMCG machinery experience to join our engineering team. Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and VAULT youll help design high-performance machinery solutions driving the product development lifecycle from concept to production in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Develop concepts prototypes and refined designs aligned with client needs and industry standards
- Collaborate with engineers production and quality teams across the product lifecycle
- Produce technical documentation including assembly instructions and maintenance manuals
- Conduct prototype testing and validation to ensure performance reliability and safety
- Implement design improvements based on test results
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through design optimization material selection and process improvements
- Work with procurement and manufacturing teams to implement efficient solutions
- Participate in design reviews and stay updated with industry trends and best practices
- Engage with clients to understand requirements and provide ongoing technical support
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (ISO CE FDA etc.) and stay informed on regulatory updates
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in mechanical design within the FMCG or manufacturing sector
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and VAULT
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Experience with product development and machinery design
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
