NPM Category Manager (Production Equipment, CAPEX & CIVIL)
Job Summary
Ensures continuous supply of non production material (Production equipment Capex IT Engineering related services such as utilities civil electrical materials & services) with efficient sourcings and managing all purchasing related activity. Ensures continuous improvement of purchasing processes and assist the Head of Purchasing in implementing corporate purchasing strategies and policies and monitor same need to be applied. Proving savings Automation DPO Audits to meet the corporate targets.
Implementing corporate regional and local processes policies & strategies
Fair sourcing to be implemented to provide best source of the supplier in the plant.
Implementing and monitoring the usage of corporate standards systems and guidelines in order to ensure efficient and compliant sourcing decisions and processes.
Driving the Execution of Market Intelligence studies
Ensuring the ideal balance of Competition
Pooling through e.g. supplier reduction
Active sourcings incl. all related sourcing activities in coordination with stakeholders buyers & HOD.
Ensuring to achieve the set KPIs such as savings payment terms automation and contracting in cordination with buyers & HOD.
Approving of sourcings & purchase orders as per Continental policies processes & systems.
Leading guiding & developing the NPM purchasing team for the selected categories.
Guiding buyers in their sourcings with system and processes.
Providing continuous feedback to the team for improving sourcing processes and commercial conditions.
Ensuring all processes and policies are followed by the team and stakeholders & in case of exceptions the right process & approvals are followed.
Assisting HOD in preparing the yearly budget proposal & KPIs.
Actively driving initiatives sourcings negotiations in order to meet budget and KPIs.
Regular check and follow up of reports preparing reports and summaries for management based on Continental standards.
Managing daily operations of NPM in coordination with plant internal and external stakeholders incl. management team.
Proactively providing solutions to plant stakeholders & management team as per the purchasing policies and take decision within the defined authority limit.
Coordinating with the stakeholders to understand their requirements & expectations.
Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls.
Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties.
Ensure immediate notification and response and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards.
Encourage near-miss reporting.
Escalate to ESH or next level in organizational hierarchy for support if perceived risk is not mitigated in a reasonable timeframe.
Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others.
Qualifications :
University Degree (Engineering) management degree (e.g. MBA)
