Job Summary
Role Description:
This is a full-time role for a Senior Electrical Engineer based in New York NY. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing evaluating and overseeing electrical systems for building projects ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings and schematics conducting feasibility studies collaborating with construction teams and performing quality and safety assessments. This role also requires effective communication with clients and project stakeholders to ensure project goals are met successfully.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in electrical system design drafting schematics and technical documentation
Experience with electrical safety standards NFPA and building codes
Knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction rules energy codes regulations compliance practices and record-keeping requirements
Ability to make technical computations and calculations involving the application of electrical engineering principles understanding plans and specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate with construction teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
7 years of related work experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one is a plus
Experience with new construction and high-rise buildings in NYC is preferred
