Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue Ft. Worth TX 76104 Therapy Services
Work hours: Full Time 40 hours/week Monday - Friday 8:00-8:30AM - 4:30-5:00PM with 30-minute lunch; Weekend On-Call Requirement Weekend on call requirement 1 or less per quarter; Holidays Minor Holiday (Memorial Day Juneteenth 4thof July Labor Day New Years Day) - sign up for 3 shifts per year; Major Holiday (Easter Thanksgiving Christmas) rotation for on call for swallowing evaluations.

Heres What You Need
Masters Degree Speech Language Pathology Required Or
Other Post-Baccalaureate degree recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Required
SLP Experience with adult population acute care hospital-based inpatient setting.
SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Required Or
SLP-I - Speech Language Pathology Intern Texas Speech Language Pathology Intern License Upon Hire Required
SLP - Speech Language Pathology Texas Speech Language Pathology License Upon Hire Preferred
Strongly prefer CCC Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.
Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do
Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
Educates patient and family through instruction demonstration and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan safety issues home
programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
Documents all aspects of assessment plan of care and re-certifications in accordance with departmental TJC Medicare and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
Works in partnership with peers other disciplines and departmental personnel
