Are you a proven Technical Manager ready to shape the future of food safety and quality at Valeo Foods UK in Blackpool Were looking for an inspiring Site Technical Manager to drive excellence strengthen our technical capability and champion a culture where quality is at the heart of everything we do.
In this pivotal role youll lead our technical agenda across the sitesetting standards guiding teams and ensuring our products consistently meet the expectations of our customers our certifications and our brand. Youll be the driving force behind continuous improvement technical innovation and operational collaboration.
Leadership & Culture
- Build a strong collaborative culture where food safety and quality are shared priorities across all functions.
- Lead coach and develop the site technical team ensuring capability engagement and succession.
- Shape and deliver the sites technical strategy championing innovation and best practice.
Standards & Compliance
- Lead a riskbased approach to food safety ensuring full compliance with customer policies BRC standards and retailer codes of practice.
- Oversee internal audit programmes driving continuous improvement and robust corrective actions.
- Manage incident response and rootcause investigations using datadriven methodologies.
- Maintain and evolve the sites Quality Management System to meet internal and external expectations.
Quality Systems & Performance
- Monitor analyse and report on internal and customer KPIs identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the Quality Management System remains current effective and aligned with industry developments.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead all customer audits and visits ensuring confidence in our standards and performance.
- Build strong relationships with customers developing quality plans that meet their needs.
- Manage customer complaints and queries working closely with commercial teams to deliver effective resolutions.
Learning & Development
- Design and deliver food safety and quality training programmes across the site.
- Assess team capability needs and build a strong pipeline of technical talent for the future.
Qualifications :
- Degree or equivalent in Food Science or related discipline.
- Experience in FMCG or similar environment with team management experience.
- HACCP Level 3 qualification and experience in retailer quality systems.
- Knowledge of BRC compliance and audits.
- Strong project management skills.

- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Up-to-date knowledge of technical advances and consumer trends.
