Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical
Location: New York NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Hours: 34.5 Hours/Week
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $71.16/hr
- Weekly Gross Pay: $2455.02
- Weekly Stipend: $850.56
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN Medical/Surgical to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of patient conditions delivering bedside care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly
- Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion catheterization and wound care
- Monitor patient vital signs and recognize changes in condition
- Operate and adjust medical equipment as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures medications and recovery plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to established nursing standards safety protocols and best practices
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 12 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
Certifications
- Active RN License (State of New York or Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA required
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
