Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN Medical/Surgical to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The RN will be responsible for managing a variety of patient conditions delivering bedside care and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly
Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion catheterization and wound care
Monitor patient vital signs and recognize changes in condition
Operate and adjust medical equipment as required
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and discharge processes
Educate patients and families regarding procedures medications and recovery plans
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
Adhere to established nursing standards safety protocols and best practices
Requirements
Experience
Minimum 12 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
Certifications
Active RN License (State of New York or Compact)
BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA required
Skills
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Strong documentation and organizational skills
