Pay Grade/Pay Range:Minimum: $15.00 - Midpoint: $17.26 (Hourly N1)

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm
Job Summary:The Groundskeeper provides basic labor for landscape and flower installation and maintenance. Works outdoors in all types of weather. Drives University vehicles such as trucks golf carts mowers and tractors from site-to-site.
Additional Department Summary:Works overtime based on the condition of the grounds and campus event schedules sometimes on short notice. Works at a series of assigned locations for job related activities including football games. Accomplishes the essential functions in a timely manner. Performs other job duties relating to job assignments. Meets regular attendance requirements. Leaves work sites clean and orderly. Ensures all tools and equipment are cleaned and materials are secured.
Required Minimum Qualifications:Must be able to read write and follow verbal and written instructions.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have a valid U.S. drivers license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with university policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
Skills and Knowledge:Ability to work long days on your feet including standing walking lifting and carrying. Ability to work in all weather and temperature conditions including heat cold rain etc. depending on the season.
