Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated highly skilled technician to perform preventative maintenance and entry-level mechanical repairs on commercial trucks. This position supports fleet and customer vehicle safety reliability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer and company standards including inspections lubrication fluid and filter replacement.
• Inspect and perform clutch and brake adjustments and related repairs.
• Inspect service and repair 5th wheel assemblies.
• Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Conduct steering and suspension repairs including replacement of related components.
• Assist with drive train repairs including drive lines U-joints and differentials.
• Accurately document all work performed on repair orders and inspection reports.
• Operate hand tools pneumatic tools and basic diagnostic equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform state and federal safety inspections as trained and authorized.
• Assist with emissions-related inspections and maintenance where applicable.
• Comply with all company safety policies DOT regulations and applicable state and federal laws.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 12 years of diesel technician experience in diagnosing and repairing light medium and heavy-duty trucks.
• Experience performing PM related services.
• Must have a valid drivers license: CDL Preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs/push-pull 75lbs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.

Salary

• $18.00 to $23.00 an hour.
