About the role
As an Energy Analyst within the Procurement team you will support the delivery of energy procurement strategies for a portfolio of our mid-market clients. The role combines analytical market expertise with direct involvement in procurement delivery ensuring procurement tenders are managed accurately while helping clients understand their energy options and make informed purchasing decisions.
You will be responsible for managing procurement tenders analysing supplier offers and coordinating contract renewals across a portfolio of mid-market client energy accounts. Working closely with internal teams suppliers and clients you will provide insights into market movements assist with contract renewals support procurement decision-making and help ensure procurement activities are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
The role requires strong analytical ability attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex market information in a clear and practical way. You will also contribute to building strong client relationships by responding to queries supporting procurement discussions and maintaining accurate portfolio and contract data.

Requirements
- Strong experience of working within the energy industry and energy procurement environment
- Experience of managing supporting and delivering energy procurement tenders and contract renewal processes
- Ability to interpret and compare supplier contract structures and pricing models
- Experience analysing supplier pricing structures contracts and procurement offers
- Understanding of wholesale electricity and gas markets and the key drivers impacting energy pricing
- Knowledge of third-party charges (TPCs) and non-commodity cost components
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with large datasets and advanced Excel skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities and tenders simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex energy market concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
