Job Overview
The Head of Research & Development will lead innovation and product development initiatives driving the creation of new product pipelines while optimizing costs and processes. Responsibilities
Develop and manage the New Product Development CAPEX budget for the financial year.
Oversee and control the R&D OPEX budget effectively and efficiently.
Identify and introduce new technologies through industry engagement and research.
Lead end-to-end new product development aligned with marketing requirements ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Oversee product development for international markets meeting defined cost and timeline targets.
Drive initiatives to improve product gross profit (GP) through cost optimization.
Build mentor and lead a high-performing R&D team.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Manufacturing or a related field).
Minimum 15 years of industry experience with significant exposure in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of product development manufacturing processes and innovation management.
Proven ability to manage budgets timelines and cross-functional teams.
Passion for innovation continuous improvement and emerging technologies.
Strong leadership analytical and decision-making skills.
