Position: Occupational Therapist
Salary Range: $44.58-$47.52 per hour
Schedule: 30 hours per week Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required new graduates will not be considered for this position.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist you will work with patients of all ages who have physical mental or developmental conditions that impact their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. Your role will be to assess their needs develop treatment plans and help them regain or improve their independence and functioning.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical mental and emotional abilities and limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients including exercises activities and adaptive equipment
- Monitor and track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as doctors nurses and speech therapists to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on techniques and strategies to improve daily functioning and independence
- Document all patient treatment and progress in a timely and accurate manner
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in occupational therapy and incorporate them into treatment plans as appropriate
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the field of occupational therapy
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational therapy preferably in a clinical or hospital setting
- Current state license to practice occupational therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
- Willingness to continue learning and attend professional development opportunities
