Audio Video Low Voltage Technician

We are seeking a motivated AV / Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in audio/video installation structured cabling electronic security or related construction/technical trades. We are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and work ethic.

This is a hands-on role working in commercial environments installing and servicing low voltage systems.

What Youll Do

• Install audio/video systems including video walls displays speakers microphones amplifiers and control systems
• Install and terminate structured cabling including Cat5e Cat6 fiber optic and other low voltage wiring
• Install security systems including surveillance cameras and access control systems
• Read and interpret blueprints floorplans and wiring diagrams
• Mount equipment such as TVs speakers cameras racks and other devices
• Build and dress equipment racks and cable pathways neatly and professionally
• Test troubleshoot and resolve system issues in the field
• Work with team members project managers and office staff to complete projects efficiently
• Maintain company tools equipment and vehicles
• Keep a clean safe work environment

Travel Requirements

• Travel is required approximately 30% of the time including overnight stays
• Travel may include multi-day out-of-town projects depending on workload and project schedules
• Per-diem is provided for eligible overnight travel
• Company vehicles are provided for all work-related travel

What Were Looking For

Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:

• Audio/video installation
• Structured cabling / data cabling
• Video surveillance camera systems
• Access control systems
• Burglar / intrusion alarm systems
• IT / networking / telecom field work
• Electrical or low voltage construction work

Additional qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders / in ceilings / in various job site conditions
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed
• Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks motor vehicle record review and/or drug screening where permitted by law.

• OSHA certification or other trade certifications
