Job Summary
Role Purpose:
To manage end-to-end sourcing procurement and delivery of specific long-lead equipment categories (Electrical MVAC or ELV). This owner-side role ensures that equipment is specified correctly ordered on time tracked globally and delivered to meet construction milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing activities for assigned equipment category (e.g. UPS transformers MV/LV switchgear gensets chillers cooling towers CRAH units CDUs ELV systems).
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs evaluate technical and commercial proposals and recommend vendor selection.
- Create purchase orders (POs) in SAP and manage PO lifecycle from issuance to delivery including change orders.
- Coordinate with logistics team to ensure on-time delivery and customs clearance for international shipments.
- Work with engineering to validate technical specifications and BOMs.
- Track supplier manufacturing progress and conduct regular progress calls.
- Resolve quality or delivery issues with suppliers.
- Maintain category intelligence: market pricing lead times emerging technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical or relevant engineering degree.
- 5 years in procurement or supply chain for electrical/mechanical equipment (owner or EPC side).
- SAP experience (PO creation and tracking) is mandatory.
- Understanding of intercoms (Incoterms) global logistics and customs documentation.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Mandarin speaking is a plus for supplier communication.
