Job Summary
Clothing Designer Fashion Retail
We are seeking a creative trend-driven Clothing Designer to join our dynamic fashion retail team. This role is perfect for a passionate designer who can translate global trends and customer insights into commercially successful on-brand product ranges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop seasonal collections aligned to brand identity and customer profile
- Research global and local fashion trends fabrics colours and silhouettes
- Create design concepts technical sketches and detailed tech packs
- Work closely with Buyers and Merchandise Planners to ensure commercial viability
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to bring designs to life
- Conduct fit sessions and oversee product development from concept to final sample
- Ensure product quality fit and cost targets are met
- Contribute to building a strong cohesive brand aesthetic across categories
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fashion or Clothing Designer within retail or apparel industry
- Strong understanding of garment construction fabrics and fit
- Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator Photoshop or similar)
- Strong trend forecasting and creative conceptualisation skills
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
