Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for an outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner working with military families at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in California.
Position Highlights:
- Services shall be provided Monday through Friday excluding Federal holiday and weekends between the hours of 0700 and 1530 hours. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break no instance will the HCW be required to provide services in excess of 80 hours per two-week period.
- Will work in San Diego area at one of sever potential locations (not in a rotation but it might be at a Branch Clinic outside of the Balboa Hospital proper)
- Must be skilled in general outpatient psychiatry including diagnostic evaluations pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy.
- Performs psychiatric intakes evaluations and prescribes medications. 5.1.19.1.3. Will serve as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary mental Behavioral Health.
- May be involved in medical student and psychiatry resident education.
- May provide clinical supervision to other health care professionals and trainees such as psychology interns.
Position Requirements:
- Masters degree in nursing.
- Possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Psychiatric- Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner in the last five (5) years.
- Graduate from an academic program within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) -Psychiatric- Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner (across lifespan) Board Certified (PMHNP-BC)
- Any balid state NP license acceptated
- Salary to be determined but likely in the range of $70-95 hr.
