Cluster Director of Sales – MICE
Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
Assists in leading the propertys segmented sales effort (e.g. group transient association corporate etc.) and assists in the implementation of the segment sales strategy and achieving segment revenue goals property revenue goals and guest and employee satisfaction. Conducts all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. Achieves personal booking goals.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
1. Global MICE Network & Proactive Business Development
- Demonstrates a strong ability to proactively build expand and activate relationships with key MICE stakeholders including Professional Congress Organizers (PCOs) Incentive Houses and global agencies with a focus on North America and Europe.
- Proven track record in identifying sourcing and converting high-value group opportunities from long-haul international markets through proactive sales efforts and new business acquisition.
2. Multi-Segment Sales Expertise (City & Resort Exposure)
- Solid experience driving MICE business across both large-scale city hotels and resort destinations.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to position and differentiate products effectively unlocking cross-selling opportunities across a diverse cluster portfolio.
3. Travel Flexibility & Market Presence
- Demonstrates full flexibility and readiness to travel internationally to support proactive sales activities including trade shows (e.g. IMEX IBTM) sales missions and client engagements across key markets.
- Actively participates in in-market activities to generate new business opportunities and strengthen market presence for the cluster.
4. Cluster Mindset & Strategic Deployment
- Experience working within multi-property or cluster environments (minimum 3 properties preferred).
- Demonstrates strong ability to strategically deploy leads across the portfolio maximizing conversion and revenue through a One-Sales approach aligned with property positioning and business needs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major; 3 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
OR
4-year bachelors degree in business administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major; 1 year experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
