Position: Change Manager Senior Professional Officer Grade B

Location: Canberra ACT

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration: Approximate 12-month contract with potential to extend

Pay rate: $130.00 per hour plus 12% superannuation

Citizenship requirements: Must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident at time of application

Overview:

Our client is a large public sector organisation delivering vocational education and training services playing a critical role in workforce development and economic growth. The organisation is undergoing a significant digital transformation including the rollout of a major cloud-based program and the transition to a new state-of-the-art campus.

The Change Manager will play a central role in driving the people process and behavioural changes required to support this transformation. Working as part of a large-scale digital program the role will focus on ensuring successful adoption of new technologies improved service delivery and long-term organisational benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead change engagement and adoption activities across a large digital transformation program
  • Develop and deliver program-level change strategies and plans across multiple projects
  • Coordinate change activities to ensure alignment and consistent adoption outcomes
  • Conduct stakeholder impact and readiness assessments to inform engagement strategies
  • Design and deliver targeted communication and engagement plans
  • Partner with project and delivery teams to embed change activities into program plans
  • Support system testing business readiness and user training initiatives
  • Identify and manage risks issues and resistance to change
  • Track and report on adoption change progress and benefits realisation
  • Support transition of project outcomes into business-as-usual operations
  • Lead and guide change resources and subject matter experts across the program

Experience/requirements:

  • Extensive experience in change management within large complex programs
  • Proven experience delivering ICT-enabled transformation or digital programs
  • Strong capability in benefits realisation including tracking and measuring outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing change strategies and plans
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including at executive level
  • Ability to influence manage resistance and drive organisational adoption
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in complex environments
  • High level of adaptability resilience and problem-solving capability
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business ICT or organisational change
  • Professional certifications in change management or continuous improvement (e.g. Prosci Lean Six Sigma) highly desirable
