Living by these virtues we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.Our ideal candidate provides PRN (as needed) physical therapy services to acute care patients throughout the organization under the direction of a physical therapist and collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team. This position supports varying patient care needs and staffing demands with hours scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Idaho as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from either AHA ARC or Military Training Network is required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred.
Essential Functions
- Knows understands incorporates and demonstrates the Organizations Mission Vision and Values in behaviors practices and decisions.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate Child Adolescent Adult Geriatric as applicable).
- Assists in the development of treatment plans provides direct patient care and monitors the patients response to treatment.
- Provides education to patients and family members to ensure follow-through of the treatment program.
- Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to established rehabilitation services policies and procedures.
- Facilitates a team approach by communicating with a wide range of healthcare professionals to improve quality of patient care and patient outcomes.
- Provides direct and indirect supervision of Therapy Aides.
- Serves as a patient advocate.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as applicable to a PRN role.
- Participates in continuing education programs to maintain State Licensure requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
