Our ideal candidate provides PRN (as needed) physical therapy services to acute care patients throughout the organization under the direction of a physical therapist and collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team. This position supports varying patient care needs and staffing demands with hours scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Idaho as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from either AHA ARC or Military Training Network is required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred.

Essential Functions

• Knows understands incorporates and demonstrates the Organizations Mission Vision and Values in behaviors practices and decisions.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate Child Adolescent Adult Geriatric as applicable).
• Assists in the development of treatment plans provides direct patient care and monitors the patients response to treatment.
• Provides education to patients and family members to ensure follow-through of the treatment program.
• Completes all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner according to established rehabilitation services policies and procedures.
• Facilitates a team approach by communicating with a wide range of healthcare professionals to improve quality of patient care and patient outcomes.
• Provides direct and indirect supervision of Therapy Aides.
• Serves as a patient advocate.
• Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as applicable to a PRN role.
• Participates in continuing education programs to maintain State Licensure requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
