Job title: Bid Writer
Location: remote UK
Salary: up to 60k
Vargo is looking for a proactive and skilled Bid Writer to join a boutique consultancy business. Working closely with the Commercial Director youll oversee the bid process coordinate contributions and produce high-quality persuasive submissions across multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full bid lifecycle including schedules timelines and submission requirements ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate input from SMEs delivery teams and senior leadership ensuring all submissions meet client requirements and procurement guidelines.
- Develop clear tailored bid responses aligned to win themes translating complex technical information into compelling narratives structured to maximise scoring.
- Review and refine contributor input for consistency and quality integrating relevant case studies and supporting evidence.
- Partner with the Commercial Director to convert bid strategy into effective responses identifying gaps and challenging content where needed.
- Assist with buyer communications and maintain an efficient collaborative bid process.
- Seek feedback on submissions contribute to post-bid reviews and continuously improve content processes and templates.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in bid writing or proposal support.
- Strong writing editing and structuring skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Background in digital consultancy or professional services.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with a strong sense of ownership over written outputs.
