Part-Time Counselor (24 Hrs a week Lansdale)
Location: Lansdale PA (On-site)
Schedule: Thursday & Friday 1:00 PM 9:00 PM; Saturday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (24 hours/week)
Status: Part-Time Exempt
Reports to: Director of Counseling
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Counselor to provide trauma-informed counseling services to survivors of domestic violence. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals on their path to healing through both individual and group counseling.
This position is fully on-site at our Lansdale location and primarily requires evening and weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling services to survivors of domestic violence including community members and shelter residents
- Facilitate support groups in a safe supportive and empowering environment
- Schedule appointments and respond to participant communications in a timely manner
- Collaborate with external service providers (with proper consent) to support holistic care
- Participate in weekly supervision with the Director of Counseling
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and legal standards
- Complete continuing education and accrue clinical hours toward licensure (if applicable)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Counseling Social Work Psychology or a related field
- Licensure (LPC LSW LCSW etc.) preferred but not required
- Experience working with trauma survivors preferably in domestic violence or crisis settings
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) training certification (or willingness to complete during onboarding)
