The Role

Were looking for a Design Engineer with strong technical chops and AI fluency to join our team in Barcelona.

The era of static wireframe mockup handoff is over. We need someone who understands that AI is reshaping how products are designed and built and who actively uses AI tools to accelerate their workflow from generative prototyping and code-assisted design to leveraging LLMs for research synthesis and rapid exploration.

Youll sit at the intersection of design engineering and AI working cross-product shipping features that are beautifully designed and technically sound. Youre equally comfortable in Figma in a React codebase and prompting an AI to generate a first draft you can refine.

What Youll Do

• Own the end-to-end design process using AI-augmented workflows from research to production-ready components

• Contribute to our design system (React Storybook)

• Use AI tools (Claude Cursor Copilot v0) daily for code generation prototyping and research synthesis

• Partner with PMs and engineers to define problems explore solutions and ship iteratively

• Conduct user research and usability testing augmented by AI

• Create responsive accessible interfaces across devices

What Were Looking For

Design

• 3 years of experience as a Design Engineer (or Product Designer with strong engineering skills) in tech

• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end work (research ship)

• Experience with design systems building and maintaining them

Technical

• Comfortable writing React components production-quality not just prototypes

• Experience with Storybook Git/GitHub workflows and responsive/accessible web development

AI & Modern Workflow

• You actively use AI-powered tools (Cursor Copilot v0 Claude ChatGPT) as a genuine multiplier not a gimmick

• You understand where AI adds real value vs. where human judgment is essential

• You stay current with the AI-design landscape and bring new tools to the team

Mindset

• Systems thinker. Comfortable with ambiguity. Ships fast.

• High-autonomy profile: proactively identifies opportunities defines scope and drives work from idea to shipped outcome with minimal oversight

• Builds product intimacy: invests in deeply understanding our users and domain develops strong product intuition and acts as a long-term steward of quality and coherence

• Not precious about the old way if AI does it better you embrace it

• Clear communicator in both Spanish and English

Nice to Have

• Experience in HR tech SaaS or B2B products

• Experience designing AI-powered features (conversational UI predictive interfaces)

• Contributions to open-source design systems or component libraries
