Job Summary
Third Engineer (3E)
WE ARE HIRING: Third Engineer (3E) (2 Positions Available)
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair machinery delegated by the Chief and Second Engineer.
- Act as Engine Room Watchkeeper.
- Ensure correct operation of oil pollution prevention equipment (OWS) and accurate Oil Record Book Part 1 entries.
- Comply with SMS EMS international standards and safe Hot Work Procedures.
- Assist with the training of engine assistants Cadets and ratings.
- Serve as a Behaviour Based Safety Observer (Speaking up if unsafe conditions are identified).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Third Engineer or in a similar role onboard.
- Valid STCW certifications and medical certificate for the rank.
- Capability to act as a Gas Engineer in the absence of a Gas Engineer if required.
- Familiarity with Competency Management Systems (CMS) and Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS).
- Strong leadership skills serving as a role model for exemplary personal conduct.

Required Skills:
Certificado de Competencia como Capitán hasta 500 GT (mínimo). Certificaciones STCW 2010 vigentes aplicables a remolcadores. Libreta de embarque en vigor. Buen dominio del Ingles y Español (oral y escrito). Sólidos conocimientos de terminología marítima. Residencia en la provincia de Barcelona.
