Technical Writer Fintech $650$1050 USD/month Fully Remote
Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible at least 3 hours overlap with UK GMT
Salary: $650$1050 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent
About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK-based fintech company to hire for this role. They provide payment infrastructure for e-commerce businesses across Europe and the US processing millions of transactions a month and their compliance and integration documentation needs to be airtight.
The role
Youll write the technical and compliance documentation that merchants developers and internal teams rely on integration guides regulatory explainers product manuals and internal procedures. Youll make complex financial and technical concepts accessible without dumbing them down.
What youll do
- Write merchant-facing integration and setup guides for payment products
- Produce compliance documentation including AML KYC and PCI-DSS explainers
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to document regulatory requirements clearly
- Maintain internal process documentation and SOPs for operations teams
- Review and edit content produced by subject matter experts
What youll need
- Strong written English with the ability to simplify technical and regulatory language
- Detail-oriented accuracy in fintech documentation is non-negotiable
- Able to work with legal compliance and engineering stakeholders
- Comfortable managing multiple documentation projects simultaneously
Nice to have
- Background in fintech payments or financial services
- Understanding of PCI-DSS AML or KYC regulatory frameworks
- Experience with compliance or regulatory writing
