Technical Writer Cybersecurity $700$1100 USD/month Fully Remote
Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible async-friendly some US EST overlap for weekly syncs
Salary: $700$1100 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent
About the company
Remote World is partnering with a US-based cybersecurity company to hire for this role. They build endpoint detection and threat intelligence products used by enterprise security teams globally and clear precise documentation is essential to customer onboarding and retention.
The role
Youll produce the technical documentation that helps security engineers deploy configure and get full value from the platform including admin guides API docs threat response playbooks and release notes. Youll work directly with product and engineering to stay ahead of each release.
What youll do
- Write and maintain product documentation including admin and configuration guides
- Document API integrations and SIEM connector setup procedures
- Create threat response playbooks and security runbooks for enterprise users
- Write release notes and feature announcements for each product update
- Audit existing documentation for technical accuracy and coverage gaps
What youll need
- Strong technical writing skills with excellent written English
- Comfortable working with complex security-focused subject matter
- Able to interview engineers and translate outputs into clear documentation
- Organised and delivery-focused across multiple simultaneous projects
Nice to have
- Background in cybersecurity IT or a related technical field
- Familiarity with SIEM tools EDR or enterprise security concepts
- Experience with docs-as-code workflows (Git Markdown static site generators)
