Job Summary

Integration Engineer (ETL / Data Warehouse)

Location: Ottawa / Toronto (Hybrid 2 3 days onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to support and enhance enterprise-scale data integration and ETL systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SSIS Python SQL and Data Warehousing along with experience supporting and optimizing production ETL pipelines.

This role involves close collaboration with business users data teams and analysts to ensure reliable efficient and high-quality data movement across systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 support for existing ETL processes and data pipelines
Monitor troubleshoot and resolve scheduled ETL job failures and performance bottlenecks
Design develop and maintain ETL solutions using SSIS Python and SQL
Write and optimize complex SQL queries stored procedures and scripts (SQL Server / Oracle)
Build and enhance data pipelines for ingestion transformation and loading of data
Work with structured semi-structured and unstructured data sources
Ensure data quality integrity security and governance best practices
Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and optimized execution
Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Support and maintain enterprise data warehouse environments

Required Skills & Experience

5 years of experience in SSIS development
5 years of experience in Python development
5 years of experience in SQL Server-based development with large datasets
Strong experience in ETL pipeline development and support (L2/L3)
Strong knowledge of SQL (queries performance tuning stored procedures)
Experience working with data integration and data warehousing systems

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience in Financial Services industry
Exposure to enterprise schedulers / orchestration tools (e.g. Tidal Airflow)
Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (OLTP OLAP Dimensions Facts Data Modeling)
Experience with cloud-based data architectures and messaging systems
Exposure to Databricks / PySpark for ETL pipeline development

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (required)
Masters degree preferred

Ideal Candidate Profile

Strong hands-on ETL developer with production support experience
Comfortable working in high-volume enterprise data environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders
