Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Closures Engineer - Job Description
Design and develop vehicle closure systems including doors tailgates hoods latches hinges and sealing systems across the product lifecycle.
Lead concept development through production release with a focus on functionality durability and customer experience.
Perform kinematic and structural analysis to optimize motion effort and system robustness.
Define component and system requirements specifications and interface documents.
Drive RFQs technical reviews and supplier collaboration; manage design changes and issue resolution.
Own DFMEA DVP&R and validation activities for closure systems.
Support prototype builds testing and production launch activities.
Ensure targets for cost weight quality timing and manufacturability are achieved.
Collaborate closely with body manufacturing quality and vehicle integration teams.
