Job Title: GenAI Engineer Investment Systems

Job Summary
You will join a small expert team within Vanguards Investment Systems and Data IT division. Your mission is to push forward strategic data and analytics initiatives by delivering expertly crafted technical solutions and building close partnerships with a variety of stakeholders.
Responsibilities-
Design and deliver high-quality data and analytics solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Write clean scalable code across multiple languages and quickly adapt to new ones.

Leverage GenAI coding agents to apply deep knowledge of programming patterns algorithms and common paradigms.

Build and optimize solutions using AWS services.

Partner closely with investment systems stakeholders to understand requirements and drive business impact.
Required:
-
Expert programming skills in Python and TypeScript (or JavaScript) with the ability to quickly learn new languages such as Golang.

Strong understanding of programming patterns algorithms and software paradigms.

Proven track record of delivering solutions using AWS (e.g. Lambda S3 EC2 API Gateway etc.).

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Highly Preferred:

Experience with RAG-based GenAI solutions.

Knowledge of graph databases and ontology frameworks (e.g. RDF OWL or similar).

Familiarity with the institutional investment or financial services industry.
