We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a high-impact DevOps team. You will lead the development and maintenance of the Digital Checkout Solution (DCS) specifically driving the technical direction for the Vehicle Trade-In feature set.

Technical Decision Maker: Take ownership of backend architecture ensuring code quality performance and stability for global retail services.

Process Innovation: Specify new products and standards based on organizational strategy ensuring the integration of nuanced systems across the global landscape.

Strategic Collaborator: 6 years of experience influencing stakeholders and reaching buy-in on complex technical changes where persuasion and expertise are required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in enterprise software development.
• Proven track record of delivery within complex global IT landscapes.
• Demonstrated Seniority: Experience in backend architecture ownership and high-level technical decision-making.
• Experience in an Agile environment is essential.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

• Senior full stack developer with strong backend focus (Java 11/17 Spring Boot RESTful & event driven services)
• Proven experience designing and building scalable secure backend systems in enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of distributed systems integrations and API design (REST messaging async processing)
• Solid frontend experience using Angular (v14) and TypeScript to support end to end delivery
• Hands on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and performance optimisation
• Experience with cloud native architectures and containerised deployments (Docker Kubernetes)
• Strong CI/CD and automated testing experience (JUnit integration tests pipelines)
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and documented designs
• Proven experience working in Agile / AWM delivery models
• Strong collaboration skills across development operations and business stakeholders

Advantageous Skills:

• Experience in web and digital platform development
• Cloud native development experience (containerisation CI/CD pipelines)
• Exposure to event driven or asynchronous architectures
• Experience working in global cross functional product teams
• Knowledge of GROUP style enterprise IT landscapes and compliance standards

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance on platform/application
• Review and present proposed system solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User Management or System owner
• Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
• Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
• Participate in daily stand-ups
• Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required
• Assist with training when required
• Compiling of user and operational manuals
• System audits
• Assist with identification and management of risks
