We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cost records analyzing financial data and supporting management with accurate cost insights for decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and monitor inventory valuation methods and ensure accurate tracking of stock movements
Prepare and maintain purchase and sales registers with proper reconciliation
Assist in monthly closing activities and prepare detailed management reports
Perform data analysis and generate cost-related insights for decision-making
Calculate and process royalty and warranty provisions as per company policies
Prepare project-wise cost sheets and analyze cost structures
Conduct variance analysis of material usage and identify cost deviations
Support in preparation of cost audit reports and related documentation
Work closely with operations and finance teams for cost optimization initiatives
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all cost accounting activities
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with large data sets and maintain accuracy
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or similar)
Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas)
Basic proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
Qualification:
CMA ( Qualified )
