Converting Line Packaging Technician Milesburg PA

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: 12-hour swing shifts. You will work 7:00am7:00pm for one month then rotate on the first Monday every other month to a 7:00pm7:00am schedule.

A day in the life

You arrive to your station and review the JSA and safety procedures before the line starts. As bags come off the converting line you continuously verify quality catching any defect and alerting the bag line operator right away. You weigh and number each case complete the required documentation and build neat stable pallets. Between runs you help the Converting Operator with roll changes and double-check that every safety guard is in place and working. Throughout the shift you keep your area clean perform documented quality checks and support the operator with additional tasks as assigned.

What youll do

• Follow all JSAs and plant safety policies at all times.
• Continuously inspect finished product before packing; promptly notify the bag line operator of any quality concerns.
• Weigh and mark cases complete all case and production paperwork accurately.
• Stack finished goods uniformly and securely on pallets.
• Assist the Converting Operator with roll changes and other line activities.
• Confirm machine safety guards at your station are present and functioning.
• Perform documented quality checks and maintain required records.
• Keep the work area clean organized and safe.
• Provide general assistance to the Converting Operator as needed.

• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Willingness to complete training courses assigned by management.
