Job Description

The Teledyne LeCroy R&D Team is seeking a Hardware/Electrical Engineer with a passion for advanced electronic design and the drive to shape the future of our nextgeneration test and measurement platforms. This role offers a rare opportunity to work at the cutting edge of technologyspanning precision analog circuitry highspeed analog design signal integrity and complex mixedsignal architectures. As part of our engineering team you wont just design hardware: you will influence the entire product lifecycle from defining technical requirements and architecture to handson design and validation all the way through product launch and mass production. You will engage deeply with stateoftheart technologies learn continuously and directly contribute to innovations that steer the technical direction of a globally recognized instrumentation company. This is a highimpact position where your ideas expertise and curiosity will help define the performance envelope of tomorrows highvalue measurement instruments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop precision highspeed RF analog and mixedsignal circuitry for nextgeneration probes and oscilloscope acquisition systems.
• Prepare documentation to support product planning and system architecture.
• Create schematics and oversee the layout of complex highfrequency PCBs including ceramic and organic packages.
• Design test fixtures and implement automated test routines to validate prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teamsMarketing Electrical Software Mechanical and Manufacturing engineersto transform concepts into marketready products.
• Provide ongoing support and review product modifications throughout their operational lifecycle.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 4 years of electronic design experience or
• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 2 years electronic design experience.

Core Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong logical thinking and rapid learning ability with a genuine drive to expand knowledge.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of highspeed analog design signal integrity transmission lines RF and microwave principles.
• Proficiency in analyzing circuits in both frequency and time domains.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive meetings conduct design reviews and create clear technical content (drawings slides graphs) to explain complex systems/data.
• Broad knowledge of electronic design including power supplies microcontrollers clocking transistorlevel design and PCBA technologies.
• Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical Software QA Manufacturing).
• Skilled in using test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes and network analyzers; familiar with calibration automation and SMD soldering.
• Competence in design simulation and analysis using tools like Orcad PSpice Excel Ansys and MATLAB.
• Ability to script in Python VB or similar languages for measurement automation and data analysis.

• Capable of managing projects or subsystems with attention to schedule cost and material requirements.

• Foundational understanding of digital signal processing theory.
