• MUST have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience to qualify.

WhatWillYouDo:

Schedule: M-F 8:30-5pm no holidays or weekends

As a Medical Assistant youll play a vital role on the care team supporting providers connecting with patients and helping ensure a seamless compassionate experience every day.

As a key member of the ambulatory care team you will:

• Welcome patients and support their transition intocare.

• Take and record vital signs medical histories and healthscreenings.

• Prepare patients for exams andassistproviders duringprocedures.

• Administer medications and vaccines asdirected.

• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-caretesting.

• Document care accurately in the electronic healthrecord.

• Partner with physicians nurses and teammates to deliver high-quality coordinatedcare.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GEDrequired.

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
1) Ability to access patients and respond in a timely manner 2) Exposure to unidentified infectious cases 3) Exposure to body fluids and blood 4) Ability to work varying shifts to meets needs of center. 5) Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situations. 6) Physical demands are moderate. Occasional lifting bending and stooping or sitting. Normal office environment where there is minimal or no physical discomfort due to temperature dust or noise. Equipment utilized includes basic office equipment designed for use with ambulatory patients as well as emergency medical equipment.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds or when patient is unable to assist with the lift patient handling equipment is expected to be used with at least one other associate when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
