Job Summary

Research Officer in the Division of Haematology Medical Oncology and HSCT of the Department of MedicineSchool of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 535063)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research and development of advanced molecular techniques
  • Maintain quality assurance and smooth running of a research laboratory
  • Supervise and mentor junior research staff and post-graduate students
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in the field of Haematology Oncology or a related discipline with experience in genomics data bioinformatics next-generation sequencing nanopore sequencing single-cell sequencing and droplet-digital PCR
  • Demonstrate a strong passion for scientific and clinical research with knowledge of research-related computer softwares
  • A good command of English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills self-initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge on multi-omics technology platforms will be highly preferred

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include annual leave medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
