Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support a dynamic occupational health and family care environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to both clinical and administrative operations ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery. This role requires strong hands-on clinical skills along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical / Patient Care Support:
Room patients and record vital signs
Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and administer vaccines
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Assist with general clinical procedures and patient care needs
Front & Back Office Duties:
Schedule patient appointments and manage daily patient flow
Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
Communication & Coordination:
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
Provide clear communication to patients and healthcare staff
Support patient education and outreach activities
Required Qualifications & Experience
23 years of Medical Assistant experience (externship not included)
Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture required
Experience with EKGs POC testing scheduling and patient rooming
Familiarity with both front and back office operations
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Basic computer and EMR system proficiency
Current BLS or CPR certification required
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
