- Friday: 07:00 AM 11:00 AM
Schedule: 5 days per week (varies)
Weekly Hours: Approximately 3236 hours
Contract Duration: 18 weeks
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support a dynamic occupational health and family care environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to both clinical and administrative operations ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery. This role requires strong hands-on clinical skills along with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical / Patient Care Support:
- Room patients and record vital signs
- Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and administer vaccines
- Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
- Assist with general clinical procedures and patient care needs
Front & Back Office Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage daily patient flow
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
Communication & Coordination:
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
- Provide clear communication to patients and healthcare staff
- Support patient education and outreach activities
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 23 years of Medical Assistant experience (externship not included)
- Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture required
- Experience with EKGs POC testing scheduling and patient rooming
- Familiarity with both front and back office operations
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer and EMR system proficiency
- Current BLS or CPR certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
- Prior Occupational Health experience is a plus
